Granulated, Cane Sugar

Most Moonshiners use just plain white sugar to make their moonshine (often along with grain such as corn or rye). So, if you're trying to make just a plain sugar wash for your moonshine, ordinary white sugar will be fine.

If you enjoy the flavour of one kind of sugar in particular, use that and pot distill it to retain the flavour and aroma of that sugar. Otherwise, reflux distillation is the best way to get the purest, flavourless alcohol.
